FAQ's

What is the maximum number of students for each workshop?

Each separate workshop caters for up to 50 students

Is there a limit on the number of students who can attend the performance?

No, this is limited only by the space in which the performance is held. Often schools will run the workshops for their performing arts students, but offer the performance to the whole school. This is also more cost effective, as the fee can be split between many more students.

Are the packages suitable for primary or secondary schools?

The cast from both shows are all experienced teachers, and are capable of tailoring the workshops to suit all ages. We frequently work with both primary and secondary schools, and are able to offer workshops catering to all ages/stages/abilities. NOTE: The educational resource is aimed at years 7 & 8, which is where our largest target market is, as it is compulsory for every student to study music in these years of schooling (as opposed to other years where it is only an elective subject).

We are interested in purchasing the half day package, but it would work better in the second half of the day, instead of the first half of the day as listed on the website. Is this possible?

We are more than happy to be flexible wherever possible, and quite often we stray from the structures detailed on the website. These are a guide only, and we regularly tailor our packages to cater to schools' specific requests. Quite often the half day package happens in the second half of a school day, to allow for travel time in the morning.

We would like to offer the performance to all of our students, but our performance space is quite small, only seating 200 students. Can we have a second performance?

We are interested in building relationships with schools, and are happy to meet your requests where possible. In this instance we would need to run less workshops to allow time for the second performance.

We are a combined primary & secondary school, with students from K-12. Is it possible to run workshops for such a wide range of ages?

Yes. The experienced teachers from both packages are capable of tailoring workshops to suit all ages and abilities. Generally we would group the students in to similar age groups, and run the workshops on rotation, allowing students to learn at a pace suitable to their abilities.

Have a question that's not listed above? Please contact us, and a representative of one of the packages will answer your query at their earliest convenience.

SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS:

Both packages include all necessary technical equipment as part of the package.

Schools only need to supply a performance space (minimum 6W x 5D x 3.7H) with a P.A. system, and suitable spaces for the workshops. (school halls, large classroom, undercover outdoor areas etc).

The dance workshops (only featured in the 'Gene Peterson Live' package) require a wooden floor (or similar) and a P.A. system for the music.
