PERFORMANCE - 'Loop the Loop"

Prepare to be violently impressed when master musician Gene Peterson, goes head to head with multi-instrumentalist Adam Page, in this phenomenal musical battle. In this jam-packed performance, students will be treated to a plethora of amazing skills, from simultaneously playing keyboards and drums, to Tibetan throat singing, to using a variety of vegetables as a musical instrument!! As each artist attempts to out-play the other with their multitude of musical abilities, they continually record their music into a loop pedal, creating the aural illusion of an entire band playing live!

Both performers from 'Loop the Loop' are virtuoso musicians in their own right, and have each toured nationally and internationally, performed at festivals worldwide and have accumulated countless awards and accolaides along the way.

WORKSHOPS

The 'Loop the Loop' workshops are a wonderful opportunity for students to learn from industry professionals. The versatile artists from this exhilarating production are able to conduct classes in a wide range of fields:

• Body Percussion & Junk Drumming

In these fun and engaging classes, students are educated on Tone Colour, Dynamics, Improvisation & Composition, whilst being entertained by the musical creativity involving drumming on household junk and making music from vegetables!

EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE

'The Concepts of Music: A Multimedia Resource for Junior Music' is an exciting new teaching tool from the author of the bestselling senior music text 'An Introduction to the Concepts of Music'.

Aimed at junior students, the package consists of a CD-ROM of graded worksheets based on the 'Gene Peterson Live' DVD. With exciting drumming, phenomenal beat-boxing and sensation tap-dancing, this unique resource is guaranteed to capture your students' interest and encourage them to examine how the concepts (elements/components) of music are applied within different genres.

Complying with syllabus requirements of music courses across Australia, each item on the DVD and its accompanying worksheet is ideally adaptable as a lesson or as a reinforcement of a topic.
